Notes: Wiki's and blogging

- only organizer can edit page name; if I set up my own wiki, I will have ability to make that change, but not here.

- as wiki organizer, anytime a change is made on page, I will get an email.

- can see history of my page by just clicking history tab.

- to get back to my page when I visit at other time: use manage space tab on left side; bookmark page; search key with my user name

Ways to use wiki:
-staff tool with library - create discussion between Jane and Karen
- working on long range planning?
- work on our library curriculum map?

- what about with volunteers? this is a live document that anyone can change and see all changes at one time rather than email after email.

- grant writing

Notes: Blogs

- Commenting/sequential discussion
- More of a log ('web-blog'); like a diary/ship's log
- RSS - Real simple; feed that automatically informs you when a site you're subscribed to has been updated.

What separates blogs and wikis:

Wiki's more collaborative
Blogs - main posts, contributing comments
